DANCERS CAN CHOOSE TO AUDITION IN PERSON VIA GROUP OR PRIVATE LESSON AUDITIONS

Group Auditions

Ballet Royale Summer Intensive Auditions are open to dancers ages 6 through 22.

*Dancers need only attend one audition

Audition Requirements:

  • Fill out the Online Supplemental Pre-Registration Form (link below)

  • Register for your Audition Time & paid the non-refundable Audition Fee

  • Bring to the Audition:

    • Two 4x6 Photos: 

    1. Head shot showing at least 3/4 face

    2. 1st Arabesque (Ages 6-8: en flat, Ages 9+ either en relevé or in pointe shoes)

Audition Registration for Ages 11-22 With Pointe/Men's Steps at Ballet Royale
Audition Registration for Ages 6-18 not en pointe at ballet Royale

  • Audition Times & Details:

    • 12:30 – 2:00pm:

      • For: Dancers Ages 11-22.

      • Includes: Pointe work or men's steps, as applicable

      • Current Ballet Royale Students: Ballet Royale Academy Intermediate & Advanced Levels & Pre-Pro Program Levels 4A–Professional Division

      • Registration: Now Open! see button below to register

    • 2:15 – 3:30pm:

      • For: Dancers Ages 6-18, with at least 1 year of ballet technique

      • Does not include: Pointe Work

      • Current Ballet Royale Students: Academy Youth Ballet Levels I–V & Pre-Pro Program Levels 1A–3A

    • Note: Dancers auditioning will be separated into groups by age and experience

    • Registration: Now Open! see button below to register

  • Audition Times & Details:

    • 12:30 – 2:00pm:

      • For: Dancers Ages 11-22.

      • Includes: Pointe work or men's steps, as applicable

Private Lesson Auditions

IF YOUR DANCER IS UNABLE TO ATTEND ONE OF THE GROUP AUDITION DATES AND WOULD PREFER TO AUDITION IN PERSON RATHER THAN DIGITALLY, THEY CAN SCHEDULE A SUMMER AUDITION PRIVATE LESSON.

BALLET ROYALE WILL ACCEPT PRIVATE AUDITIONS FOR SUMMER INTENSIVES THROUGH JUNE 1, 2025.

Private Lesson Audition Requirements:

  • Fill out the Summer Audition Private Lesson Form (link below).

  • Register for your Audition Time & paid the non-refundable Audition Fee. Summer Intensive Private Lesson registration can be found under the “Private Lesson” tab on the portal. Scroll down to see “Auditions” or under select service, select “Auditions.”

  • Submit the following Audition materials at your audition:

  • 1st Arabesque Photo:

    1. For dances ages 6-8, first Arabesque should be taken en flat

    2. For dancers ages 9+, first Arabesque should be taken en relevé if you are not en pointe, or in pointe shoes if you dance en pointe.
