“SPRING INTO SUMMER” INTENSIVE WITH PROGRESSING BALLET TECHNIQUE®:

JUNE 10 – 28, 2019. Unlike any other in Minnesota, this Intensive is a great way to kick off the Summer! 

NO AUDITION REQUIRED.

Intermediate/Advanced (completed minimum of One Year Pointe for girls) through Professional.

Recommended ages 11 through to 26 years old.

For motivated dancers experience Ballet Royale’s groundbreaking training featuring Progressing Ballet Technique® cross-training, the industry’s most advanced and cutting edge regimen specifically designed to improve ballet dancer’s core stability, weight placement, alignment and muscle memory. This program will maximize improvement and accelerate students’ progress, and is particularly crucial for those preparing to attend summer intensive programs.  The Intensive features a daily regimen of Ballet Technique, Pointe and Ballet Royale's Progressing Ballet Technique®.

MALE DANCER BALLET INTENSIVE, JUNE 10 – 14, 2019: Invitation or Pre-Approval Required

 Unique in Minnesota, this weeklong Intensive Program is for motivated; aspiring Male Dancers ages 10 through adult. Designed by former Professional Ballet Dancer Rick Vogt, this program focuses on strength, power, technique, and performance. These classes provide a rare opportunity for men and boys to gain invaluable skills and insights beyond those presented in mixed classes. Students receive individualized attention and coaching from the state’s foremost male ballet teachers. Classes include Ballet Technique, Targeted Strength Training, and Classical Variations.

JUNE YOUTH BALLET III AND IV MINI WORKSHOP, JUNE 10 – 28 2019, 5:30-7:00pm only Tuesday and Thursdays

This program is designed to keep your dancers skills on track before attending a Summer Intensive. Classes run for 3 weeks, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This program is only open to dancers who attend the July Full Day, or July Evening and August Jump Start

DISNEY THEMED CREATIVE STORY DANCE WORKSHOPS (ages 4+ )

SATURDAYS, JUNE 15, JULY 13 and AUGUST 17, 2019

Give your young dancer the joy of dance & performance! This summer, Ballet Royale will be offering three daytime Disney Themed Creative Dance Workshops June 15, July 13 and August 17. Each workshop will be 10am – Noon and will include a short performance at the end of the day.

JULY FULL DAY SUMMER INTENSIVE JULY 8 (Monday) – JULY 25 (Thursday), 2019

Three Progressive Divisions (I, II and UPPER) from AGES 8+ through Professionals (Variable Length Options)

AUDITION REQUIRED for UPPER DIVISION

Attend an exciting and rigorous ballet-based dance program featuring artistic Directors Denise and Rick Vogt with Master and Guest teachers.  Each student will receive the finest professional instruction allowing them to reach his or her full potential.  Unique to this intensive, students will be highlighted in an end of program Summer Showcase Performance. .

 UPPER DIVISION (Audition Required)

Full Program: 9:30am – 5:00pm, July 8 – 25 includes Valley Fair Outing with Performance and Summer Showcase Performance.

Partial Program (2 week option) July 8 – 19 or July 15 – 25

 MORNING ONLY BALLET & POINTE OPTION (Does not Include Valley Fair Outing with Performance and Summer Showcase Performance.)

Full Program: 9:30am – 12:00pm, July 8 – 25. Partial Program (2 week options): July 8 – 19 or July 15 – 25

DIVISION II, INTENSIVE Age 9+ w/ minimum three years of ballet technique

Audition NOT Required but Placement Evaluation Required if Non-Ballet Royale Student

Full Program: 9:30am – 3:00pm, July 8 – 25 includes Valley Fair Outing with Performance and Summer Showcase Performance.

Partial Program (2 week options): July 8 – 19 (Dancers attending this program will NOT be in the Showcase or Valley Fair Outing) or July 15 – 25 (Does Include Valley Fair Outing with Performance and Summer Showcase Performance.)

DIVISION I, INTENSIVE Age 8+ w/ minimum one year of ballet technique

Placement Evaluation Required if Non-Ballet Royale Student

 This Intensive has been developed to give students the ultimate experience in ballet. Your dancer will have Classical Ballet and Repertoire class each day. On the last day of the intensive the dancers will perform in an in-studio showcase.

12:30pm – 3:00pm, July 15 – 25 includes Summer Showcase Performance.

BALLET ROYALE GRAND PRIX VARIATIONS WORKSHOP: AUGUST 5 – 16, 2019

AUDITION REQUIRED

Workshop for Intermediate (ages 10+) through Professionals.

Ballet Royale introduces a focused ballet and variations workshop specializing in preparing dancers for performing or competing in national ballet competitions. Following daily Classical Ballet Technique and Pointe or Men’s Class, dancers learn classic ballet variations and receive advanced personal coaching. With Guest teachers, Ballet Royale Faculty and Twin Cities Ballet Principal Dancers Marissa Debenedictis and Natalie Rossi.

This Workshop benefits all dancers, whether preparing for a competition, an upcoming performance, or simply wanting to polish and improve their artistry, technique, and quality.

Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 2:00pm (Two Separate Levels)

Students will also have the opportunity to perform in an in-studio showcase performance at the end of the workshop.

POINTE PREP WORKSHOP  August 18–23, 2019

Starting the week off with getting pointe shoes, this week-long workshop will introduce pointe to your dancer.  Invitation by the director only OR dancers entering Advanced Youth I.

Class runs from 5:30pm – 7:30pm
