The Mini-Nutcracker is a delightful abbreviated version of Twin Cities Ballet's classic, 'A Minnesota Nutcracker', designed to introduce children to the magic of the family favorite. This beloved holiday tradition with soaring music by Tchaikovsky promises to hold the attention of even the youngest theatergoer. Suitable for all ages, this version is less than an hour and is performed by cast members Twin Cities Ballet's full-length production. A perfect holiday mini-treat!
Performance are 11:00am and 6:00pm at the Lakeville Area Arts Center.
This workshop is inspired by Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota’s, A Minnesota Nutcracker, and the themed class explores the characters and music of this holiday favorite. Le Petit Nut an Adaptive Dance Workshop will bring out the Sugar Plum Fairy and Toy Soldier in every child. This workshop will not have a live accompanist, due to it using classic music from “The Nutcracker.”

Ballet Royale Minnesota’s Ballet Beyond Barriers: Adaptive Dance Program is an inclusion program designed for children of all abilities and needs. It is ideal for both girls and boys who are interested in exploring a new way of movement through dance, and will focus on rhythm, musicality, and gross motor skills, while pushing the barriers of the child’s everyday capabilities. All classes are led by a ballet instructor, along with a physical therapist and a live musician. Multi-week sessions will culminate in an in-studio showcase for families.
*If your child has a CSG grant or CDCS waiver, Ballet Beyond Barriers may be added into your budget.

Twin Cities Ballet is holding Company auditions for our 2020-2021 season on March 29. TCB is an innovative professional ballet company that is reigniting passion for ballet through original high-quality performances, including our recent sold-out show Pink Floyd's The Wall: A Rock Ballet.
The audition is open to non-Ballet Royale Dancers dancers interested in:
Company: Soloist and Principal level, competitive salaried position, 34-week season.
Apprentice: Unpaid Apprentice positions for dancers eighteen and older seeking performance opportunities, training, and artistic development to grow, gain experience, and better prepare for a company position.
Trainees: High school-age, for those who wish to receive the finest training available and perform with a professional company alongside professional dancers in professional productions, while on a path to a professional career.
When: Sunday, March 29, 2020. Registration: 9:30am, Audition: 10:00am. Please bring a copy of your CV, headshot, and a first position arabesque (women on pointe) to hand in at the time of registration.
How Much: No Audition Fee for Professional and Apprentice Dancers. Dancers interested in Trainee Positions, please bring a $25 audition fee; cash or check only.

“Ballet Beyond Barriers” is Ballet Royale Minnesota’s adaptive dance workshop. This exciting new workshop will be held on September 15, 2019 at 1:00pm. BALLET ROYALE GRAND PRIX VARIATIONS WORKSHOP: AUGUST 5 – 16, 2019
Workshop for Intermediate (ages 10+) through Professionals.
Ballet Royale introduces a focused ballet and variations workshop specializing in preparing dancers for performing or competing in national ballet competitions. Following daily Classical Ballet Technique and Pointe or Men’s Class, dancers learn classic ballet variations and receive advanced personal coaching. With Guest teachers, Ballet Royale Faculty and Twin Cities Ballet Principal Dancers Marissa Debenedictis and Natalie Rossi.
This Workshop benefits all dancers, whether preparing for a competition, an upcoming performance, or simply wanting to polish and improve their artistry, technique, and quality.

MALE DANCER BALLET INTENSIVE, JUNE 10 – 14, 2019: Invitation or Pre-Approval Required
Unique in Minnesota, this weeklong Intensive Program is for motivated; aspiring Male Dancers ages 10 through adult. Designed by former Professional Ballet Dancer Rick Vogt, this program focuses on strength, power, technique, and performance. These classes provide a rare opportunity for men and boys to gain invaluable skills and insights beyond those presented in mixed classes. Students receive individualized attention and coaching from the state’s foremost male ballet teachers. Classes include Ballet Technique, Targeted Strength Training, and Classical Variations.
