Saturday 1:45 – 2:30pm Progressing Ballet Technique® (PBT)
*Optional classes are for those motivated and focused students who wish more rigorous/accelerated training.

YBIV runs the full school year, September 7, 2019 – May 17, 2020 and includes performing in the end of year showcase
Recommended Minimum Time Investment: 5.75 hrs/week, three days/week: three Classical Ballet classes including Preparation for Pointe, Progressing Ballet Technique® and Solos & Variations. Additional elective classes available.
Youth Ballet IV Students who are highly motivated and wish for more rigorous/accelerated training may attend, as an additional class, any Youth Ballet III classes, with prior arrangement and approval of the directors.
The Modern/Contemporary Dance class is an additional class that runs the entire school year, and performs in the end of school year Showcase, “A Celebration of Dance.”
Students in Youth Ballet IV perform in Ballet Royale's annual Spring Studio Showcase Performance "A Celebration of Dance," together with the Pre-Ballet Creative Dance and Performance Track students, and also have the opportunity to participate in Twin Cities Ballet professional productions at Burnsville's AMES CENTER.

Pink Leather Split Sole Ballet Slippers: Capezio, Juliet Split-Sole, Style #2027, color Light Pink or Cobra Split -Sole, Style #2033C / 2033, color Light Pink
Girls: Required Light Blue Leotard: Princess Seamed Camisole (Child) Capezio, Style #CC101C or Princess Seamed Camisole (Adult) Capezio, Style #CC101
Pink Convertible Tights (no seam): Bodywrappers, Style #C81/A81, color Theatrical Pink or Capezio, Style #1915C/1916, color Ballet Pink
Hair in a neatly, pulled-back bun. All shoe elastics must be neatly and properly sewn to the shoe, not tied under the foot. Tights must be worn underneath the leotard. Ballet skirts may be worn for choreography with the instructor's permission (the skirt should not fall below mid-thigh).
White crew-length (below Calf) Socks.
Boys: Plain White ( or with Ballet Royale logo) Tight Short-Sleeved T-Shirt tucked-in neatly, or White Leotard.
Black Tights or Tight Shorts.
White Leather or Canvas Ballet Slippers with elastics.
Dance Belt (as needed/preferred).
