Ballet Royale Minnesota

Minnesota’s foremost Ballet Academy leads the dance community with its original groundbreaking classes and incomparable training.

Founded and directed by former professional ballet dancers Denise Vogt and Rick Vogt, Ballet Royale provides a healthy, safe, and focused environment, featuring age-appropriate costumes and choreography. Ballet Royale’s custom ballet-based curriculum is a comprehensive program that draws upon the best elements of classic French, English, Cecchetti, and Vaganova schools, combined with cutting edge anatomical/physiological advances and knowledge. Ballet Royale is also the first and only school in Minnesota to fully integrate groundbreaking Progressing Ballet Technique® cross-training classes into its core curriculum, and since its inception has run a “Heath and Wellness” series that includes nutrition, injury prevention, and healthy mind-body awareness.

Our Mission: To share the gift of dance and inspire new generations of dancers by providing the highest quality training and performance opportunities for all ages and abilities, in a focused and supportive environment.

Our Classes: Ballet Royale offers a variety of different levels and intensity of training for students of all ages and abilities, whether on a Pre-Professional track or taking a less rigorous schedule of classes. Our core training helps build self-esteem, self-discipline, poise, character, creativity, confidence and provides the finest training available for today's dancers.

Our Facility: Ballet Royale is housed in a premier building on the border of Lakeville and Burnsville, in the heart of the southern metropolitan area just 20 minutes from both Minneapolis and St. Paul. Ballet Royale is the first Ballet Academy to be built, with all new construction, in the Twin Cities. Its state of the art features include: in-floor radiant heating, fifteen foot high ceilings with ample natural light, and custom designed sprung floors with non-slip “Marley” dance surfaces specifically designed for Ballet. All studios contain large windows which provide easy classroom viewing from the common areas.
